I typed in "What area code is 312?" in the Google search engine, and got links to websites.
According to an area code look up website www.computerhope.com/areacode.htm 312 is a Chicago, Illinois number. Answers.com also lists it as a Illinois number.
If it is disconnected could it be a prank call? What is the point from their perspective for a business to call then have you unable to get in touch with them?
