Wht can be done to stop all of these annoying spam call? I'm registered on do not call, tried blocking (they just use a different number) and not answering ( they wait a few minutes, sometimes a day and call again. Very annoying
They only call once maybe twice because that's how the game is played. If by chance you do answer, which they actually hope you don't...they rant off some odd specific script about a prize you won blah blah blah but you know you haven't put your info to win a thing....
SCAMMERS know the chances are on their side where they have nothing to give you &a frustrated you just hang up...they know someone will call back with their info for the taking & thats even IF you let it get that far...
See the ring once scam is mainly designed by scammers to call quick so you miss the call & feel compelled to call them back then when you waste your time with doing so & the call is recieved on their end they primarily start by stealing your caller id info which helps them gain access to your mobile account meanwhile they use your caller id as a lure for future scams so your caller id info appears on their phone &i doesn't appear shady if they do there homework google searching YOUR # & also gives them more to dig up about you & ones you are associated with as they search & locate all there is about you via the free World Wide Web !

DO NOT ANSWER OR RETURN ANY UNKNOWN #'S PERIOD!! IF THEY KNOW YOU & ITS IMPORTANT YOU SPEAK WITH THEM THEY WILL DEFINITELY LEAVE A DETAILED MESSAGE WHICH YOU WILL KNOW IS FOR YOU. MAKE IT A RULE TO DO THIS OR ACCEPT THE HIGH POSSIBILITY OF BEING SCAMMED EVEN IF THE # YOU SEARCH LOOKS OK WAIT FOR A VOICEMAIL WITH A CALL BACK # TO VERIFY THE LEGIT NATURE OF THE CALL.
THESE DAYS IT SHOULD BE OUR DUTY TO USE OUR COMMON SENSE TO TAKE EXTREME CAUTION SADLY WITH JUST WANTING TO ANSWER OUR OWN PERSONAL CELL PHONES BUT TO REPORT OUR WORLD HAS CHANGED IN THE WORST WAY POSSIBLE SO DO YOURSELF A FAVOR & SAVE TIME &a ENERGY PROTECTING YOUR OWN INFO AS WELL AS THAT ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR LOVED ONES....

Thank you for sharing this really helpful information! I just recently read something about these "one ring scammers" & how they are responsible for more than 1/2 of all cell phone fraudulent scam activity being directed at the US & the UK. Sad that once this would all seem like an unnecessary precaution, & now is mandatory to protect our private information!
