Have had calls from this number - 313 235 2846 - for months without answering the phone. Finally answered and asked why they keep calling - they just hung up on me. I called the REAL DTE Energy and they said it was not there company.... and then later hung up on me when I asked for a supervisor.
Be extremely Cautious of this number ! they Call Me and want my Social.....I say: First of all, you called me ! I did not call you, AND this number is an OLD NON WORKING DTE NUMBER ! SO.....Its very clear someone is "Spoofing" the Number...Most likely right threw "Google Voice".......AND if its for "Home Protection Services" That CLEARLY means they would be Offering to sell you something, which would NEVER REQUIRE giving a SS number ! I called DTE and the woman said : yeh, They are "spoofing" because DTE has used "235" numbers, however they do not contact you from them, and she is Contacting Security and they are going to try and see about tracing .....Just trying to help others out here.......And yes ! they have called a cell number here WHICH they HAVE NEVER HAVE BEEN GIVEN ! (DTE hasnt been ever given the cell phone number) so yeh...........BEcareful !
It is a non working number fro DTE if you do a reverse look up. I think everyone should call DTE and complain. If they want to waste our time than watse theirs and maybe they will stop making these stupid calls,.
Do like I do. If you get unwanted calls from DTE and have asked them not to call than call DTE direct and make a complaint. If we all do this I am sure their office will wise up and stop being such a pain in the a... If they want to waste my time when I am busy than I can waste theirs when I am not.
They now are calling me with UNAVAILABLE calls so now I also send them emails on their site. I also will fill out as many of these on every site I can find to let all know what DTE is really like. GET THE WORD OUT and do the same! We do not need this kind of disrespect.
Identified themselves as DTE, but talked very fast and slurred thier words, did not sound right. They wanted to sell appliance insurance,at least they said.
