Call flashed on the "land line" phone I have through Charter. I don't know or do business with anyone in the 313 so I have the whole area code blocked:)
I also added 407 and 786 for scammers posing from Miami, FL., to my CPR Call Blocker.
I never hear a ring and only know the idiots call when the caller I.D. pulse is recieved if I'm near a phone or watching T.V.
As an added measure I've also enabled Charter's no ID call blocking service (it's free).
Filing a complaint won't do anything. FCC looks for trends and will not do anything more. I have logged at least 50 complaints about another telemarketer, FCC/FTC is another worthless government money grab.
Got a call from (313) 236-9873 - didn't answer - no message left. Called it back and outgoing message stated it was a number that had been disconnected.
no answer so i called back and was told DC'd # from verizon. Golden Rule is do NOT give info of any sort and do NOT hit any keys when requested to. And so it goes just another attempt to elicit what they cannot have. I recommend all follow suit
