Get on the Do Not Call list - it helps, but a few violators call anyway.  In my country, we hang violators.

Identity theft attempt, disguised as car warranty

Yeah, called me today.  Some black guy - asked for me by name and then said "I see your 2010 Chevy Truck is out of warranty and you haven't extended it - now I need you to tell me RIGHT NOW how many miles are on that truck?"  To which I handily replied, "It's none of your &*($^&*  business, and by the way,  you're already on my scam list.  This is really, really getting out of hand with these phone calls.
