I had a message left by a man claiming to be Michael Rodgers from Legal Review Services. He was looking for the previous owner of my fax line (even though I've had this number for 14-plus years), claiming that two felony charges were going to be filed against him. The callback number was 855-599-8359, and I'll be making a post for that number as well.
This is a common ploy by criminals masquerading as debt collectors who are attempting to extort money from people by scaring you into believing that you will be criminally charged, go to jail, lose your driver’s license, have wages garnished, be sued, and a variety of other variations on this, all for an alleged or nonexistent debt. One of the tricks they use is to call your work place, friends, or relatives repeatedly in an attempt to shame you into paying. They also use the “process server” ruse who calls and claims he is going to serve you, but then says you could avoid it by calling another number

Got a call today @ 2:19pm stating they filing papers against for an bank account in my name, and I will be served to be in court. Told me to call an 1-8?? Number to pay.... It's a scam... Which I haven't had a bank account since 2009. 313-305-0538 IS A SCAM, SCAM, SCAM
