Called cell number that is on the "do not call list". Recording said it was "Lisa" from "Green Study Survey Company" and I won a "free trip to the Bahamas". Naturally I hung up at that point and blocked the number.
Answered to hear a recording saying I'd won a free cruise. I hung up at that point. These scams are becoming more often than in the past.
Whet they do is try to entice you with something big they say you have won. You haven't really won anything, but they attempt to make you think you did.
After they gain your trust, they manipulate the conversation and get you to reveal private information. The more they get, the more they try to get. By the time you realize you've been had, it's too late.
