Called my cell phone - said he was calling from "Discount TV". Told him he was calling my cell which is illegal and he apologized and hung up. Blocked the number, but they will probably just call back using another bogus number.
I had a missed call on my cell from this number today. No message and I did not call it back. I just got rid of my landline that I have had for many years and nobody has this number except directv, which I am a customer, and family. I called them yesterday to see if they offered internet in my area so I could bundle, they don't. So I guess they can share your number with whomever they wish.
Called asking if I was looking for "Cable services" for my home. When I said no the caller immediately hung up on me. Any legitimate company wouldn't conduct business this way. Do not answer and do not give personal information.
Number was given to this group via AT&T services. It was the only company I called looking at different service options and they knew the same information I gave to AT&T. Long story short, asked a few questions then hung up. They would not clarify what company they represented.
