Put Craigslist ad in for Frederick, MD - got a text from this number asking for a reply. Pretty much know if they ask if it is still available it is a SCAM.
Received an email reply to a Craigslist ad I placed for a reclining chair. They said:
HI , IS THIS STILL AVAILABLE ? IF SO TEXT ME ON (313) 473-9368.
Unfortunately, I responded.
That first day, I received a phone call almost every hour. There was no one at the other end. It's been a month and I still get random calls all times of the day and night. I can just hear a rushing sound like static. Some have ended up being recorded by my voice mail.
The calls are from all over the country, but mostly from Arkansas, Alabama, and California.
I received the same message for an AD in INDIANA......I know that when anyone asks for a text or want you to contact them directly by giving you their email address.....IT'S A SCAMMER.....THAT SIMPLE....
