DTE Energy offering me a "protection plan" for my appliances regardless of age, type of appliance or if they use gas or not. They also offered me a $200-$500 entertainment card for signing up. I did not sign up as it seemed too much like a scam.
Received a "courtesy call" around 6 pm yesterday asking that I call back at my earliest convenience. Called back at 8:30 pm today and was told the office was open from 9 am until 9 pm. Obviously not true. Sure looks like a scam. Won't be calling back.
2 days in a row now, left voice mail, courtesy call from DTE. First one I could hear a dog barking in the background. Didn't call back. Second one, I called back and someone answered "Huh?"....."Hello"....hung up....definitely not DTE!
So called courtesy call has been calling me for weeks and leaving messages. I answered today with the expectations of informing them that this was a wireless number and requesting they stop calling, but the call was immediately disconnected. I'm suspicious if it really is DTE at all.
