I got a call from the same guy, he wanted me to come down to the Detroit area for a 'meet and greet' about his company. He sounded legit, but so do most con artists. I am (finally!) working as an entry level Java developer, after being out of work for over 4 years and he was trying to sell me the same line and he did to you. I don't trust him.
Rec'd call end of last week from Curt Langley stating he'd received my resume and has some open positions. Didn't say company name or name of position so I'm suspicious that it's a scam or some sort of commission sales position. Can't decide whether to return the call.
He's a contact company; it would not be in the best interest of his business to tell you what company is recruiting for. If he tells what company he is recruiting for in you voicemail, what would make you call him back? Most people would just take that information and call the hiring company directly. Therefore the contact house would never make any money! Use your head, most people know what a contract house is and what they do.
I just received the same call from Curt. Said he was owner of Langley & Associates looking to fill a financial services position. Said he had a copy of my resume, which is all related to IT business development and delivery; no financial services. Has there been any additional info on this guy?
