Your post is garbled. Makes no sense at all. You're totally unbelievable . What was it? An overdrawn account, or an illegitimate charge? There is a difference you know.
Oh. It was really an illegitimate charge. And the "fraud division" took care of it.
Well, first you said the Chase "rep" said it was legitimate (the charge) and then you said the "rep" said it was illegitimate. Which was it? Apparently Chase's "reps" don't know what they are doing. Is that what you're saying?
So you're saying this number is valid?
What exactly are you saying, anyway?
My suspicion is that you're a shill--part of this group of white collar criminals who have been going around to the various anti-scamming sites telling everyone how valid these scamming phone numbers are. This financial impersonation scam goes back at least to 2011 and basically targets the customers of large financial institutions. You people are basically attempting to get account numbers , SS numbers and as much personal information as you possibly can.
I posted it in the wrong spot, that is why I re-posted it.
I wasn't found to be a shill, but you have proved that you are an a$$! Grow up, and get on meds!
I don't care, what you believe! You can be a paranoid idiot, accuse everyone of being "in" on the scam, whatever... BUT, I'm telling you it was Chase. I'm glad the rep took the time to look into it, otherwise, if I had ignored it, I would've had bigger problems. End of story!
Don't want to answer the call...don't. But, that doesn't change the fact that it was Chase.
PS... According to Chase, the reason they don't have an 800 number is, because, it's the collection department. Call the 1800-935-9935... that's the number on the back of my legit bank card, and they confirmed that it is a legitimate number. Good luck with your paranoia!
It's not a garbled response. It's only garbled to someone, who, wants to be paranoid.
The charge was no a legitimate charge. I had no money in that account, as I don't use it often, and it caused the account to be over-drawn. They were calling to bring my attention to the fact that it had been over-drawn for a month. I was unaware of the charge, asked a few questions, and it turned out to be an illegitimate charge. That's not really confusing.
Yes, this number is valid.
I didn't speak with them, when, they called. I hung up and called the number on the back of my card. Spoke with a rep, whose immediate response was that it's a scam... But, then put me hold and transferred me to a supervisor, who, confirmed the number was correct, and that they were calling from chase's collections department. She then explained to me about my account being over-drafted. If you don't know, that is when, you don't have enough money in your account to cover a charge, but, the bank allows it to go thru anyway. They transferred me to their fraud dept. and they took care of it. They removed the charge (temporarily) already.
If you want to be a delusional individual... go ahead. But, I'm not part of any "scam network", your paranoid and WRONG. It was chase, it happened (for me anyway), to be a serious situation, and your paranoia is going to cause somebody to read this, think it's a scam and ignore the situation.
At least I have the courage, unlike you, to respond as myself, and not use various aliases to respond and argue with people! Yeah, "shill" is not really a commonly used word, and having two people on one thread, use the same uncommon word is suspect!
They called and left no message. Called back and it sounded like a bad recording from Chase. I spoke with someone and they instantly asked for my social. Complete FRAUD. I called the number on the back of my Chase card and they confirmed that it is not a number in their system.
