My dads number was called and someone named Clayton, one name like Cher, called to say that he was looking for someone that does not live with us. Apparently the company that he works for is calling everyone with the same last name trying to find someone they believe we know. Tracing this company I see that they are a collection agency although Clayton, one name like Cher, identified himself as Investigator of the Fraud and Worthless Check Division of his unnamed company.
I worked for 25 years in Collection and Credit for a major media company based in NY and I would like to give some advise to this collection agency.
1) Hire professionals that will get you the payments that you deserve.
2) Do not be ashamed to identify your company if you are on the up and up.
3) Use the phone book and internet. I believe that the individual that this Clayton, one name like Cher, is looking for is in his local town's phone book. So muck for skip tracing.
4) Please do not call my 89 year old father anymore. It's hard for him to understand that company like yours is allowed to be in existence, much less make money with the degree of professionalism that exists withing your company. Dad is old world. Hey, only in America.
5) Good luck with you business and if I may again be so bold to say, hire professionals, no deese and dose guys. Your bottom line will do much better.
