This person who used this line is alleges to be a debt collector for bad checks. He tried to get me to pay for a cashed payroll check issued by a company I have never worked for. Unfortunately, he also had access to my social security number and other identifying information.

The person utilizing this number then unsuccessfully attempted to have me submit a payment to him over the phone using my credit card. He indicated that he works for some company called St. Louis Recovery, but I could not locate any company with that name in St. Louis.

I have contacted the local police and the St. Louis County Prosecuting attorney concerning this matter.
