Left message on voice-mail that I had committed tax fraud, they were pursuing a law suit against me, and there was a warrant out for my arrest. It was a computer-generated, android-type message, stating that I "tried doing a fraud"...not exactly a firm grasp on the English language. Asked me to call them to inquire about my case number, but never gave me a case number to reference.
They said I was approved for a government grant of $9000.00. They asked for my Visa card info in order to transfer the funds to my account. Yeah right, I guess every now & then they actually hook a sucker.
They said i was selected for a grant tio never have to pay back tio the government. They gave me a special code and i choose 1 out of 3 methods of payment. 1. Direct to me bank. 2. To a reloadable credit card i might have on hand. Or 3. (Which i choose) money gram to the Wal-Mart or closest store that has one in it.
I never had to give out my info. So im pretty sure it's legit. But what gives me an bad vibe is that there's an activation fee for the card. $200. Thats what gives me the no go for this.
