Not much police can do. Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize. Callers are located in India and Pakistan and spoof local numbers.
IRS phone scam AGAIN!! scare tactic vmail. these calls are really bad this year. the reports of these types are call are up at the IRS website. this will be another number that gets reported.
They have tried calling my mom two days in a row threatening that she will go to jail. I called the number from my cell phone and a foreigner answered and when I questioned him he stuttered around and said oh it was a mistake and hung up. Tried calling back two additional times and no one would answer. BEWARE!!!!!!! Can you say SCAM!!!!!! All I have to say is BRING IT ON
They call and leave me a recorded message that I have a legal action against me, and this is the final attempt to reach me before the legal action will go forward. So far I have ignored the calls. But I am sick of getting scam callers at all hours of the day. I don't even bother answering the phone anymore unless I know the number; it just goes to voice mail.
I recently moved into my moms house and continue to get this scam, My dad recently died and I have NO tolerance for this! I am planning on calling the police as this is not acceptable.
