Received phone call from 315-207-4657 - - Allowed answering machine to record call. ‘Professional-sounding’ recorded female voice. Caller said I must call the above number immediately and speak to a federal agent or would face criminal charges. Even though I knew it was a scam, I called the number. The person answering my call identified themselves as the “IRS’. I told the person that I knew this was a scam and he hung up on me. These people are the ‘lowest of the low’ . . .
Called twice today. First time it was a scam about back taxes owed. Second time said I was going to be arrested for 5 criminal complaints unless I returned the called. Forwarded the telephone number to local police department.
Another robocall pretending they are from the IRS, giving you a number to call back whose mail box is filled. You probably call back and then I will probably receive a call from a person, thinking that I've shown interest. I called the number to tell them I knew they were a scam and I would be reporting them.
