This is another number from a big car warranty scam. They have called me every few days for months now and I'm filing a complaint with the FCC at esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm, and I encourage everyone to do the same.
This is a coordinated scam. I'm getting calls for the same 'warranty coverage' from various states. As soon as I get on one office's 'don't call' list, they begin again from another state.
I believe it works like this... The parent office (either the warranty company or its telemarketer) contracts with subsidiaries across the country. They maintain separate databases to legally separate their 'do not call' lists, but regularly 'sell' phone numbers to each other for a small fee. For example, if you get on the 'don't call' list in one state, your phone number is flagged as 'live' (real person lives there) and 'sold' to an office in another state. This way they don't waste their time on dead numbers.
