I inquired about a property on homeaway.com and this person named Lillian responded with this phone number in her email address ([email protected]). The response is very sketchy and I ended up getting an email from homeaway.com saying it was suspicious and to not send them money, etc.

This phone number is associated with multiple rentals scams.  Google the number and you will see it listed on rentals with different contact names on several rental sites.  Pictures are stolen from reputable realtor sites for this scam.

Almost Scammed
I almost fell for this "too good to be true" rental deal.  If it hadn't been for all of the good folks putting comments out there, I'd be out a couple thousand dollars.  Appreciate all of you sharing the information.

I didn't get the number until after I inquired about the rental unit. It was suspicious enough that my email account sent the email to spam. So when I read the email, it was all too unprofessional and a little off. So, I decided to google their number. And what do you know, its a scam! He went by the name of Leandro this time.
