Four different callers from a 'Private Number" have called my elderly mother. She finally got them to give her a number that they were calling from and they identified it as the above number. Said they were from Microsoft and were investigating a virus on her PC. She is savvy enough not to give them any information fortunately.

They called and informed me that they were from Windows Security and noticed that something was wrong with my computer and they needed to fix it. I asked if they were with Microsoft and the reply was "No". I told him I was busy and needed to call back. He gave me the 315-370-1124 number. I also asked where he was calling from and he said, New York.
I've had these calls before and they want you to enter a code on their web site so they can fix the problem. I've played with them before by keep telling them I entered the code wrong. Then I would apologize and try again only to get it wrong several time. They finally gave up.

This is a horrible scam that my elderly mother fell for. They remotely accessed the computer and downloaded trials of anti-virus software. If they ever contact you report them to the Federal Trade Commission (for the US)
I called them and was "transferred" and received another call from an unknown source (caller ID) Verified it w/ Microsoft that it is a scam.
