A person named Tim Wilson #6084 and Rickie Baxter #9650 called me yesterday and told me I have a grant waiting on me in the amount of 9,200 but couldn't get it til I sent $200.00 then they would send it to me but they said nothing about a green dot card or western union. The number they both called from was 1-315-557-0557 ever since I answered the first call and told them I don't have the money they keep calling I let it go to message and it is also a message telling me to call the first number I gave you. I am not sure of what to do next please help me to do the right thing. Thank you
I received a call from 315 557 0557 stating that I have some grant money I need to claim in the amount of $9200.00 The guy said his name is Jack Anderson, who has an accent in his voice. I explained to him that I was not about games and I will report this call if need be. The caller informed me to speak with Linda his manager for further info. Linda told me I had to pay a fee to get this money, at this point I really knew it was a scam. I called Jack back at the above number. Jack said some awful things to me suggesting sexual gestures. Beware of this number. It is a scam and they need to be prosecuted.
The lady with a very strong accent tells me i am eligible for a grant of $9200.00,she says its because i pay my bills on time and i dont have any bankruptcy and haven't been in trouble with th law.....she says the government has chosen 1700 people to give this money to and i was one of them..... She goes on to say that i can't use the money for alcohol drugs or gambling. (I guess that was to make it sound more official) who ever these people are the had my personal information they knew my name my number and my address.... She gave me this 315-557-0557 and a pin # and told me to call that number and they will get me set up to get my check.. as soon as i got off the phone with them i called the police and told them about the call...they told me it was a scam and do not call the number! Oh and earlier that day i got another call...this time it was a man with a very strong accent and he was asking if i was behind on my credit card bills and hospital bills i told him no and he hung up...didn't say good bye he just hung up......
