I received a call from the Department of Law Enforcement. The person claim his name is Officer Kevin or David Smith. I believe the call comes from New York. Check if this place is a scam I mean fly by night operation.
I received a call from this same number 315-688-5679, claiming someone took a payday loan and signed me as guaranteeor. I am a legal secretary and so I know to ask the right questions. The so called officer "Steve Daugler" of the Federal INvestigation Bureau claimed he was going debit my checking account since they could not get a hold of the person who orignally applied for the loan and if not, they would further pursue a legal matter for the money borrowed. Well each time I asked for specifica dates, times and the loan amount I was told that he could not discuss that with me, because I was only the guarantee (co-signer), which I have never applied for a loan online. I knew this was scam. I have been contacted 3 different times since the first call and I no longer answer. Glad I read up and researched this. I plan on contacting the REAL FBI Fraud department.

I received the same call from 315-688-5679 from an Indian man with the name Kevin Smith (picture that) and from 716-543-7906 the same man now indicating his name is James Richardson. Stating for me to avoid a "big mess" (less than professional) that I need to contact him as soon as possible. Upon returning the call, which goes straight to voicemail, for the Dept of Law Enforcement, I thought something was odd. I checked the number which turned out to be private (for a public agency, don't think so?) and found the # was from Copenhagen, NY. I then researched the Copenhagen Dept of Law Enforcement and the exchanges were all different from this one. That's what lead me to do research and find this page. Thank you to all posted/complained about this idiot. He began calling a family member and informed them they were the guarantor on an alledged loan I received out but would not provide any information in writing. When the family member requested to speak with a supervisor that spoke English, she was denied.
