Unknown phone number telling me ive been selected for a grant by the US Government for $7000. Dude got my name number and address on an online resume site I assume gives you another number to call back after he "verifies" you with the 315 area code and number above. Never called the "accountant" with the number im reporting here because it's a clear scam and they guy speaks [***] English.

I received a call today from 315-750-4173 stating I been selected to receive a $7000 dollar grant. I told the lady that I never applied for any grants. She than told me that I was selected through a survey in our area because I had no criminal record and good credit. I knew something was up as I never taken any survey in our area or would give out any information regarding private information. Then she gave me her name and a ID# along with a grant confirmation # to call back to get my money. I called back with the number provided to see what company it was and all they said was Treasurer Department when picked up. I just hung up on them.
I got a random phone call from an unknown number saying that I was selected from a survey in our area because I didn't have any criminal record and I took a survey and was chosen by the federal government to get a 7000 dollar grant she had me write down a phone number and gave me her name of Kathryn Williams she said that the phone number was to an accountant she also gave me a confirmation number that I was to give to the account and once I gave them a call phone number I was supposed to call was the 315 75041 73 I called just to see what was up the guy who answered the phone said that he was the one that would be processing the $7,000 transaction and I can do it either a bank debit or credit card he also gave me the option of money gram being the safest way I said that I would go ahead and have the money gram transacted after I let him get all the way through the spiel he said that I would need to send him $200 MoneyGram in order to receive the 7000 total scam they are all liarsdon't do it you will lose your money
