Got several calls from this number and one in Las Vegas with the same message. "Public service announce from Motor Vehicles Department - people in your area paying too much blah blah blah.
Moved from Austin, Texas to Reno, Nevada and kept Texas area code. Oddly, calls started after I did visit the DMV.
I think some of these places have access to job resume's like Monster. They may have employer access which allows them to mine for numbers. I believe this because I added my cell phone number to my resume on Monster, and to one other nameless job board, and a day later I started getting telemarketers calling. Of course there are probably other places that a person would seem to have a reasonable expectations of some privacy which they can access.
