I received a call from this number and wanted my bank acct number.and are suppose to take money out of my acct. for a debt I had several years ago.Has anybody else received these threatening phone calls?Just wandering if they are legite

No they're not legit. Do not give any of your personal information to some random person who calls you. Learn your rights under the FDCPA. For example, if you speak to them again, demand they mail you (not emal or fax) a debt validation letter indicating, among other things, who the original debt was with, proof that this company now owns the debt and is legally allowed to collect debt in your state. No debt validation letter from them = you don't owe them a dime. Also check the statute of limitations in your state.
