I received a call from Sedgwick Co BA. I know when I see this on the caller ID that it is either the Sedgwick County Sheriff's or Firefighter's annual charity drive. I had already taken one call for the sheriff's and told them I could not help this year. Usually that will stop the calls. I had noticed other calls on my caller ID after the first call and thought maybe it was the firefighter's making their calls as well. This afternoon I received another call and was home to answer it. Again I thought it might be the firefighter's and was going to let them know I can't help this year. It happened to be the sheriff's again and I stopped her short and told her I had already received a call. She said but we didn't get a hold of you. I told yes you did and I told you I can't help this year. The phone clicked like she was hanging up but did not get it hung up and I heard her say "That's bulls*&t. Now when someone acts like that I get a little peeved. I found the number to the main office and talked to a supervisor. They were not happy with her either. So when they call and tell you their name, remember it. The company is CMC and their number is 316-691-1059.
I also got a call from this number. I found the best way to handle these kind of calls so they will never bother you again is to invest in a phone call blocker. if they call back the phone won't ring and it disconnects them before it gets to your number. sometimes it may ring once but them it disconnects them I use to get three to four a day, now get one a month. call blocker can hold up to 1500 numbers and are about 50.00 on e-bay. well worth it.
