They DO NOT have your ip address. They want you to give it to them so they can install "hostage ware" on your system to lock it up & force you to pay them to release it. Thieving scammers. Hang up on them or just don't answer them at all
Female voice with a Middle Eastern accent...stating they are calling from Windows support...gave me access about my computer and wanted me to do somethings on my computer stating that I had popups and error messages that were causing problems on their end....
Same here, i said hello but no one answered and hung up, but i have had another call from a middle eastern accented male asking me about my computer, recently i was rebuilding my OS and took off my security settings, i have no useful info on my comp but the fact they tracked down my comp IP address with my number draws me suspicious.
It's a scam. The call had nothing to do with anything you were doing on your computer. They're fishing and by picking up the phone you're now on their list for hundreds more calls. The scam will change but anyone who picks up is now a target. DON'T answer these calls for cripes sake! When will people learn?
Middle eastern accent. I asked to be removed, they refused saying i had to go online, to which i said, its a federal requirement to remove me. I asked if he thought i was a "effing idiot" to which he said yes you're a "effing idiot". kinda funny that he fell to that level.
