Look folks, the answer for these types of calls is really simple. Do not pick up on calls from numbers you don't recognize- EVER! Don't [***] that you're on "The do not call list" because all these types of calls are not legitimate. They also do not necessarily originate from the supposed location the area code implies. Digital Voice Over Internet completely changes everything because the call number origin can be completely fabricated with a number substituted to dupe you into assuming it's local to you or your state. If you're the type who just cannot let the phone ring without picking up, do yourselves and your Family a great service by disciplining your actions to stop that behavior. Please remember, if it's critically important a message will be left and you will be notified in due course. The sheer number of scams and scammers is so high there is little you can do other than to NOT react by answering and subsequently blocking the number to avoid it being used to call you again...
