I think I believe what DISc and Wendy said-I think it's probably some sort of back door voicemail # because I tried to call
my mom's cell from my cell 2 test her ringtone and didn't get her phone hung up right away. So I unintentionally left her
a nonsensical voicemail. The time stamp on the voice message was only 1 minute off of the time I called her-NO I do not
have a 317 area code. But when we listened to the message, it sounded a lot like the background noise in the restaurant
we were in at the time-including the vacuum cleaner!
So I think this must be one of those phone numbers the wireless companies maintain that handles various things like forwarding (?) voicemail or other functions unbeknownst to most of the general public. Since I don't know much technical
stuff about the industry, I can't be 100%, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is and probably well-meant.
I also had a no message call from it. It is indeed an AT&T functional number, because if you call it it says I have no voice mail messages. It also says I have called the number many times, so I suspect it is the #1 button number on the dial, which is called when you check for voice mail messages, local to Central Indiana. Not sure why it say it calls me however, Just happened once. Would also explain why it does not let you delete it. Anyone from AT&T reading this that can answer?? I know better than trying to call and get a live human that could answer.
