2nd time i got a call from this "company". i'm not sure it was from the same number last time but the message was the same. they say they are from county arbitration and this is concerning a returned item from my bank. i have 48 hours to take take of this and then they give me a "claim number" for when i call them back. the guy on the message is really loud and cheerful, almost obnoxious and then he tells me good luck. same message last week. i know for a fact that i have no items that were "returned from my bank account" . i check my banking accounts every few days online. this is aggravating and i think it would be a shame if someone fell for it and they give their bank account info to these people. i'm assuming this is what kind of scam it is: if they are contacted by you, they will more than likely ask for your bank acct and routing numbers so they can do a check over the phone. the area code is the middle part of Indiana (Indianapolis and that area) and I am from Indiana so it might be an Indiana scam. I did a search on County Arbitration in Indianapolis, but low and behold, there didn't seem to be one.

I got a call on my friends phone they left a message for me. Really strange they said it is county arbitration also but the message says theyre too busy to leave a number to call back??? Weird...
Its a SCAM! They call me all the time saying I owe Advance America money, and I have three hours to pay it or they are coming to arrest me. I reported it to the news (fox 59) and they did a story on it. They news used my info and the attorney generals office was there as well. It is a complete fraud. You can call and report it to the sheriffs office, and the FBI is investigating it. Sad thing is, the attorney generals office said many people pay them bc they think its a legit company. PLEASE spread the word, this is a scam!!!!!
I have also been in contact with Advance America, and they also verify this is a scam. I would also call the company they say you owe and report it to them as well. Chances are, its Advance America, because thats the largest scam thats being investigated right now
I've gotten calls from these people over the years repeatedly. When they call, I get an automated msg from Walter Bryce or John Spencer, from County Arbitration about a "returned item from your bank", They want me to call back using my "claim number" or "case number". They say "we have 3 hours to resolve this issue" "failure to comply will result in a complaint to be formalized with your residing county, thank you and good luck!" They have called me repeatedly for years, sometimes calling daily during the week. At first I used to call back to try and tell them they had the wrong person and then to take my name off the list, but after I tried this several times and then still received these unwanted messages, I just stopped answering.
They're now "Don't Answer-fraud" in my contact list.
