Just got a call a few minutes ago.
Rumor is that are checking to see if you have a home security system. If you don't, then they are clear to break into your home. If you do, they find out what kind of system you have so they can breach your system.
Interesting, I just received a call from #317-456-5238 and the lady said she was with 1st Defense Security and had questions about our security system. I told her we already have a system and she wanted to know if the company we use monitors and updates our system.
This is the second phone call from same subject and phone number. I hung-up on the first call believing it was a predatory solicitation call violating the IN-AG's Office Don't Call List. I suspect this is a telemarketer or scammer. The second phone call three day's later came from what sounds like the same female caller and phone number. She starts into her rehearsed intro by stating she is with 1st Defense and is completing a questioner. She states that this is not a solicitation phone call. When informed she was violating Indiana's AG Office Don't Call List and I suspected this was a solicitation or scam call she hung-up without answering my question as to her full name, company name, and company address. I have notified the Indiana Attorney General's Office.
