People.....if you do not recognize the number....DO NOT answer the.. #@%& phone. Once you've answered the phone, they know they have a working phone number and will continue to call you endlessly. While it's annoying at first, if you don't answer, they stop calling after a few days. This happens randomly and will be quiet for several months before it starts up again. If it's someone you know, they'll leave a message or you can call them back. Otherwise...if you don't know the number, just DON'T answer it, otherwise STOP complaining.

Would like to find on name of the actual soliciting organization (not "Childhood Leukemia") to file a complaint. Organizations that do solicitations for a fee for charitable organizations are NOT EXEMPT and can be fined. If everyone who receives this call would file a complaint this harassment would stop. You are also eligible for a portion of the fine.

Report the number, the times you've been called, and the frequency of calls to your state's Attorney General's office. Go online and find the reporting procedure. It's fairly straight-forward and, even though it takes a few minutes to do it, your reporting will be added to the pile against this caller. You will receive a letter response from the AG's office for your records. If the offending caller repeats its unsolicited calls, do the same reporting procedure. You should notice a cessation of calls.
