Caller stated that they were from the Corporate Office of Merchant Services and wanted to help me avoid a rate increase on my credit cards. She wanted me to call her back at a different number than the one listed. I did not return the call.
called my cell and was asking for the person handling the finances, would NOT identify themself or give ANY info as to who they were calling for. Not a pleasant person.
These people call 3-4 times a week with a scam pitch that they have a refund for my credit card account.
I have ask them repeatedly to take me off their list but it never happens. When I tell them they have called before the person always says "well it wasn't me". Until last week the number they called from was not a good number, now the number rings through. Today when the guy called a got the same pitch, I've never called you before. This time I blasted him with my old Marine Corps D.I profanity. I would like to find out who the S.O.B. was that sold them my name and number so I could take them off my buying list.
I'm going to turn this over to the Indiana Attorney General to see if they can get me off these scavengers list.
