The "Police Protection Fund", just changed their names to SECDATA SOLUTIONS and are continuing their "do I want to pledge gold, silver, or bronze" as a donation amount to them supposedly Indiana Fraternal Organization. My son answered the phone last week when they were the Police Protection Fund, and I blocked their calls from (317) 308-4991, but they have since changed their phone number, or are actually spoofing their origin of call number. Any way much thanks from this article of which I got the most amount of information from, because they give the same dialog, word for word, "don't for get to bucket up when I drive." Received a call from this number. Caller ID said Political Call. I answered and it was Police Protection Fund seeking donations. I will donate to charities of choice but will no longer donate to those who lie about their identity.
We keep getting calls from this number at all times, they don't care if it's late or early, Sunday or Wednesday. They just keep calling. We won't answer and I'm going to block them from calling. Keeps coming up as INFOP.
Caller ID says INFOP. It's and Indianapolis number. I checked and it's not the number for the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police. Until today, I had been receiving calls from 317-308-4991 which says ITC on my caller ID. The caller claimed to be collecting donations for families of fallen police officers. Years ago I would get calls while I was at work (no messages left on answering machine) that said "Police Protection" on the caller ID. I think these all originate from the same source and are part of a scam.
