Received calls several times over the past weeks and again today. Shows Indianapolis, IN. We don't know anyone there so we don't answer. I just called the #317-559-7409 and got a recorded message apologizing for missing us. It is the F.O.P. (Fraternal Order of Police). From past experience they are asking for donations for their fund drive.
Call came in this evening @ 5:08 p.m. (dinner time), phone rang, we weren't home to answer 317-559-7409 - they left no message. We did not recognize number on caller ID. Says number is from Indianapolis, IN
Call from unknown caller with caller ID "Indianapolis IN" came at 1:40 pm EDT. I let it go to vot icemail and they left no message. Added to blacklist. I used to use "Mr. Number" but at some point it lost the ability to hang up on blacklisted callers. I now use "Extreme Call Blocker" and it works well. If you have a smartphone I would recommend it. If you have an IP-based home phone from a cable company or third party like Vonage just enable that number to simultaneously ring your smartphone and then you've got blocking for both.
