I got a text from this number for a listing I have on Craigslist. It was a scam!! Said they'll give me an extra $50 if I remove the listing today, will email a cashiers check even though the listing says "cash only", and will wait for the cashiers check to clear MY bank before they have the movers come pick up the item. BEWARE of this one!!!!!
I believe that this person is running a money laundering/embezzlement scam. Order on Craigslist, send check with a huge overage, and then you are supposed to wire the remaining funds to a 3rd party. They ar scattered all over the US also...Indiana, Las Vegas, ohio, and Los Angeles. Highly illegal
Thank you for the info. Got a text today asking if my item was still listed. Searched, found this and BLOCKED the number right away. You just saved me the frustration of dealing with yet another scammer on CL.
