Actually you CAN opt out . According to FCC Rules and Regulations regardless of who is calling ... be it Charity , Political etc the moment you request them to remove your number from their calling list they are mandated by law to do so . Not doing so subject them to harassment charges ... both criminal and civl .. with the average out of court settlement according to the Harvard Law Journal currently being at $25,000 per phone call that comes in after you've made your request .

Go two calls today at 1:24pm est. Decided to call it back to find an auto response about "Our representatives are not available right now, but we will call you back in one day". It also allowed me to select #5 to be removed from their calling list. Another B.S. call from who knows who! Wow, being on the DNC list does nothing, just like our great government. This sucks [***].

received a call 317-644-4971 on the caller ID states out of area, first I couldn't hear the person, then she started how are you doing today are you pro life, pro choice. She wouldn't let me get a word in so I hung up. There is so many calls out there that are scams, I am in a tight budget most of the calls want money.
