Received a call from 317-807-3030 Smart Travel came up on caller ID. A woman Denise left a message that we visited Great Aventure on Oct 6th and she had great news and to call her at 1-800-309-7000 x 77. So I called back the next day and just dialed the 800 number. A woman answered and I asked for x77 she said what number was I calling from to help look up the prize we won. So I guess she looked it up. She told me that we were still in the running for the car we had entered to win when we were at Great Adventure and that they had pulled our name for a Bahamas Cruise out of Florida. She said that we had a year to take the cruise and that we would have to book it 60days ahead of time except holidays and black out dates. She said since they our a new company that all we had to do was meet with them for an hour, the closet office they had was in King of Prussia PA. I told her I would have to call her back. She said is we make the appointment in the next 3 days, they would add in round trip airfare. I aked the name of the company again she said it was Sundance Vacations. She asked what time we worked, I told her it would be better if we called her to make the appointment. She said that would be fine and we can call back at this number. Judging what I've seen online, we will not be meeting with them or calling them back.
Its an Indiana # telling me they're calling from SUNDANCE in downers grove Illinois ...seriously??? Im bout to call them and tell them to shove it. Been the 15th call this week
Company called VM went to spam....listented to part of the message said they were calling regarding and entry form I filled out....which i have not filled out anything.
Received multiple (20+) messages on our machine from "Walter" or "Gloria" saying we won a cruise from an entry we filled out in October at Apple Fest in Long Grove, IL. The number they said to call was 800-309-6500. There's no such phone number in the 800 directories. Caller ID shows the incoming calls from either "Smart Travel" in IN, at 317-807-3030, or from "Sun Travel" at 216-393-1277.
Of course these are not real travel agencies, nor are there any trips to win. Only suckers to snag.
Don't be one of them.
I went to a Cleveland Cavs game a few months ago and the cheerleaders were at the gate getting people to sign up to win prizes that they claimed were for Cavs gear. They lied. Luckily, I gave these people my work number and not my cell, but now they call a few times a week! I have "won" a cruise and all I have to pay is the taxes of like $300.00. I've learned my lesson.
