the number on the called ID may not be the number they are calling from.
CROOKS use caller id SPOOFING - it is illegal to do so and it is to prevent you from finding them.
It could very well be that the person you think is calling is NOT THE PERSON actually dialing the call - just the number the CROOK is using to SPOOF caller id with.
