Ok, I got this text message on my cell phone too. I figured it was fraud and called Verizon. What concerned me most was that when I opened the message it showed the spinning circle like it was loading an application or picture. When I called the number to see who they were, it was disconnected. At first I thought it was credit fraud, but now I'm wondering if it is an attack on Verizon customers and downloaded something to my phone. Is everyone who got this a Verizon customer? I deleted the message and turned my phone off and on again, but not sure if that will help if something was actually downloaded. I'm also told by Verizon that we can block the email address that this is coming from (apache@rm-1002-25) by going to vtext.com
I am not a Verizon customer and I received this message last night. Sprint is my carrier. My message looks like it is a text response to a call history of my voicemails. It listed all the calls that I have made to my voicemail for the whole month of January.
Did it let you block the email? When I tried to do it the site said that the address needs to have a dot (.) to signify an eMail address, web site, domain name, or wireless nickname.
