Calls all the time and asks for the owner without identifying themselves (red flag, anyone?). Always declines to leave a message.
What's the FIRST thing your momma taught you when learning to use the telephone? When the other party picks up, YOU say, "Hi. This is _____." You IDENTIFY yourself.
ANY caller stupid enough to NOT immediately say who they are, is suspect. You will NOT be put through.
Same guy called again, today. He asked if the boss was in. No. He asked when he would be in. I don't know. He asked if he could get his cell number. No.
THEN the guy said, "He's harder to get a hold of than my wife's boyfriend."
These people have been calling for years. Even with the " DO NOT CALL" List, they continue to harass me and my family. How do they stay in business when they just tick off everyone they csl?
Guy with a heavy, fake-sounding Indian accent (heavily rolled "r"s) called asking for my husband, who wasn't home, and asked for his cell number. I asked his name, which was indecipherable. He said he wanted my husband to do some work for him. I asked "Where?", he said "Here, in X". He mentioned the old company name, but I told him the company was defunct (has been for some years!) and he asked nosy questions like "what happened to it" ("It's defunct.") and "where is he now" ("I'm sorry."). He got nothing from me...
*69 indicated that he called from this 318-777-1901. Are they trying to discover updated cell phone numbers?
