Also received a call from the same number a few minutes ago. Original call today was from a woman, Indian accent. My husband answered and when he called me to the phone and I said hello, she hung up. Then a man called, Indian accent. Said we had been disconnected. I had received a call several weeks ago with the same message from a woman. Both calls said they were from Windows and wanted to help me fix a problem with my computer. Several weeks ago, I did not search out the call. Today, I decided to check out the number. They had the same message....from Windows IT Department. I told them I didn't want their help..that I had a good program with another company that could handle this type of problem. He said, "I am with the operating system that is on your computer." I told him I would take my chances. He said, "just be sure to watch your computer for the next couple of days". I said OK. He hung up.
heavily accented male called this am, husband answered phone, guy on other end of line did not say anything further so my husband hung up . called back the number and it had a recording you have reached the mental health wellness center
we are aware that our phone lines were comprimised you may report this to the fcc. Yea and they are still being comprimised by some overseas idiot who is trying to scam persons.

I received a call from 318-828-2584, caller wanted to help me fix my computer. Said it was going to quit working today or tomorrow and he was going to help me fix it before it broke. Sounds like a scam to me!

Caller stated he was from the Technical Department at Windows and that he was calling about my computer. I asked who he worked for and he repeated "the Technical Department at Windows." I then asked if he worked for Microsoft at which point he hung up on me.
This was likely an overseas call to attempt to hack access to my computer had I followed his instructions. Caller ID was also likely fake.
