It probably is a debt collector, although from the sound of the message left it is more like criminals pretending to be debt collectors. Which is why that person got rid of their number. There are no "pending case" involved in debt collection.

I believe this is a collection agency. Inherited a number from a debt-beat "Desiree Washington". Always getting collection calls as I believe this woman still gives out her old number. Caller states "This is Monica, you have a pending case requiring your immediate attention, please press 1 to be transferred to an investigator". No mention of case number, who the call is intended for or anything.

Calls from 3192145926 started bout a week ago message from monica about pending case going to trial it is a debt collection agency won't admit it but treating to take me to court, I told to send me a letter of verification they hung up tried calling back no answer.
Got the same call from Monica about a case against me from a payday loan in 2011. Said I would be arrested. Total BS! Called back and got Goldstein and Associates. When I asked to speak with Mr. Goldstein they would hang up. Total Scam.
"Monica" from "Pretrial Intervention" called saying I have a case pending against me, and that if I or my "attorney of records" didn't call back she'd file that I waived my right to counsel. That's not how any of that works! They're scammers trying to scare people with pseudo-legal babble. Don't fall for it!
