I received a call from this number, and they stated they reviewed my information on careerbuilder and then proceeded in asking me questions like, "what kind of position are you looking for?" "What would you like to do?" I then stated it would depend on what was being offered, and I then asked what company was he representing and he rushed off the phone and hung up. Seems like it was some kind of scam.
Scott Sturm called me and indicated he'd found my resume on Careerbuilder.com (I do have it posted out there). He asked me a number of questions about my situation, but refused to give information about his company, beyond the name. It sounded to me like he was saying 'Symmetry Group', but I may have misheard him. When looking up this phone number, the owner is listed as Fleet Clean. I asked if he was a temporary employer, he advised no, but gave no other information. When I demanded more information from him about his company before giving out my personal information, he ended the call.
Well, you got more info than I did, I just got "Scott" and he asked me questions, but I too asked him about who he was and who was he with. He was rude and would not answer and hung up on me as well. I reported him to career builder and they are lookning to see if he is listed as an employer on their website and also informed me of this site about what they have found thus far.
I got a call, and the guy left a message (didn't give his name), and said that he found my resume on career builder. He didn't give any real information on the voicemail, so I didn't call him back.
I received a call from Scott saying the same exact thing about viewing my resume on Careerbuilder.com. I typed the number into google search engine and I see that he is full of it. Thanks for posting the information. Maybe, we can help others by posting.
Scott said he found my resume on Careerbuilder and began asking questions. No introduction. Nothing.
He refused to identify his company, his intentions or why he was calling me. When I persisted... he hung up. I waited a few minutes because I knew someone of his intellect would forget my number, he answered but soon recognized my voice [no big deal, my dog does too]. Hung up again.
