They wanted to know my student's major, extracurricular activities, and if I wanted to make any of several donations.  It has to be a scam.  They seriously don't know his Major?  They also wanted my email address, even though I already get emails from the college.  And if I would give them my physical address.  If they weren't scamming me, they really need to ask themselves it they expect anyone to be naive enough, getting a call <out of the blue> from someone purporting to be <anyone> wanting personal information and money... do they really expect anyone to say yes to either?
