William Kelly also called me, I advised that I payed my Health Partners bill (which was who they were collecting for) around the same day they sent over my acct to the agency so all they needed to do was call and verify or I could fax my bill. The said that Health Partners have one acct # and it was for another day, I advised I was only seen once and I was aware I was 90 days past due and paid on a final notice via mail and it didn;t get there in time but now is all clear and I verifed it with my clinic. They refused to accept my confirmation from Health Partners and I gave them a person to contact and they nevet did, and they call me everyday and I tell them the same thing and they call me irresponsible and are trying to tell me I have two bills for $513.12. However they can't prove it!

I received a similar call stating important message.  They called my cell and work and probably home. Did not say who they were.  When I tried to talk to them they told me I was not in a position to make demands and then hung up on me.

Former Collection Resources Collector
Back in 1999, they had a Check Recovery Division & a debt collection division.  The check recovey division collected on bad checks at businesses that used them to have the recovery fee and check amount collected.  The debt collection side handled medical debts such as doctor offices, clinics, and dentists.  Additionally, they collected for apartment complexes for past due rent  and other charges.
Now, it's obvious that collection agencies have changed in 17 years but back then -- either via auto dial or manually dialing, you'd leave a message like "Bill Clinton, this is Brandon Smith (it's imperative that you) please call me back at *********."  By law back then, caller i.d. and business line would be answered as Mid MN Management because it was illegal for others to know you're calling about a debt until you validated information from the debtor.
Now, it's highly probable too that they would "skip trace" and call neighbors and ask for the debtors phone number.  Keep in mind, back then it was illegal to say why you needed to reach so and so.
