another harassing sob that keeps calling; we don't pick up and they don't leave msg. understand from previous comments that it's scam or robot call. enough is enough. FCC: please do something to stop these unwanted calls.
Called without leaving a message. From another site I learned that you could be removed from their caller list. I did call back and the recorded message stated that they made calls for political, non profit and other organizations. It did allow me to have my number removed from their list.
Yeah, like everyone else....number calls me every day, never leaves message, I never pick up.
That being said....what is the point of this website? No matter which number I enter, I get a page of the same [***] ("didn't answer, left no message, calls me frequently"). So besides "venting", what is the point of this website? And there are so many similar sites out there, which serve the same lack of purpose.
As stated on the home page, the main purpose is to use crowd sourcing to identify who the caller is and the purpose of their call. Of the 98 posts about this number, several indicated it was a political survey or fundraising call. It was probably made by a robodialer and very few are programmed to leave a message about the purpose of the call. So in most cases, you actually have to answer and hope to get a live person to find out who the caller is. It only takes a few of the many who are called to do that and post what they learned, but if no one does, then we cannot find out the who or why, can we?
In addition to Mike-in-MD's comment, those simple terms you mentioned are enough to show the frequency of calls coming from a given number. So there other sites , but none quite like this one, where it is a valuable resource for information on various topics of scams, debt collectors and telemarketers. There are people here who volunteer their free time towards giving the best advice and steer people in the right direction when someone seems lost or asks questions they can't find elsewhere.
You will not find another site that compares to the wealth of knowledge and the collective intellect of those people who frequent here.
