The call came in at 5:45 am. Anyone calling at that time better be telling someone is dead or hurt. But no, it was a very insistent Sandra, with an Indian accent, with news that my "windows" were sending her messages. I inquired of the time where she was. It was early there too but most important was my "windows" sending her messages. I spoke over her and that only began her "windows" talk over again. Eventually she caved and hung-up on me.
I get these calls all the time too. Usually early in the morning. I know they are a scam but I still have fun with them by telling them that I'm glad they called because my computer is acting up. I tell them I charge $50/hr for them to work on my computer and that I need their name, social security number, date of birth, and mother's maiden name and as soon as the $50 charge has cleared I'll call them back.
had 2 calls from these people saying I had issues with my Microsoft and I needed to turn on my computer and he will instruct me to fix my problems. so I played along and said can I put you on hold so I can go to my computer?, I left him on hold for about 5mins. surprise, he was still there. lol.... I then picked up the line and said hold on I need to go get my computer from the my car and he says ok. kept him on hold until he hung up.
second caller, I answered in Spanish and yelled and said I didn't understand what she wanted. she hung up!
I know this is a scam!
received a phone call from this number today Saturday at 7:30 am and multiple times thereafter, thick middle east accent stating calling for my computer ...
Same story about computer being affected by Malware but caller had a Chinese accent. We are on National Do Not Call list; which all these creeps can get around. My wife told the man to speak with me. Hasn't called yet.
