Guy going by the name of "Chris Name" calling for my CEO by name, when I asked him what the call was regarding he said "It's regarding a Medtronic project, just let him know it's Chris Names on the line" ok... he was a bit rude and abrupt and didn't like my questioning (hey buddy, it's my job!)
He's called before so I asked my CEO and he said he had no idea what it was about and he has nothing going on with Medtronic. I let Mr. "Names" know this and he was insistent (bordering on debt collector status) that I put him through to my CEO, I told him he could let me know what it's regarding and I could ask again or direct him more appropriately (since my CEO doesn't handle new customers) "No, I need to speak with him directly, I can not divulge details to you." (Which makes me thing he's either trying to sell my CEO stock because he's some kind of Mergers and Acquisitions company.)
I let him know again that I couldn't put him through without knowing the purpose of the call he played the whole "I'll let my clients know about this then" like it's something seriously wrong that I'm doing. Dude, my job is to literally make sure no one bothers him!

Received call asking for owner by name. When told he was not in, the caller said he was calling from Johnson & Johnson and he needed to talk to him (the owner) regarding a project and asked what is his cell phone number. When I informed the caller that I am not allowed to give out that information, the caller rudely said, this is Roy So-and-so from Johnson & Johnson and I need to talk to him. I said just a moment and put him on hold. I then asked the CFO if he knew this Roy person from Johnson & Johnson, because he wants the owner's cell number. The CFO said no we do not have any projects with Johnson & Johnson, and absolutely do not give out the cell number. The CFO then said he would screen the call, however, the person had hung up by then. My guess is it's some type of telemarketer.
I also have gotten many calls from this number. Johnson & Johnson, Medtronic and Boston to name a few companies that they call about doing projects for. Funny thing is we do work with all the companies listed above. The men are always very rude and want to speak with our president. Finally during one of the calls our VP was next to me, I put him on speaker and she heard the whole convo. She had me transfer her the call and basically told them if we ever receive any calls from them again we will take legal action. That was about 3 months ago. Today the calls started back up. Sounds like someone got ahold of a vendor list from a few of these companies and has just been at it ever since.
I have received calls from this man, Christopher Nemes, for several months. Usually from a cell phone. This is the first time I have had a landline that I could research. Basically, he is extremely rude and insistent that I put him through to my CEO. He says it's in regards to the "Baxter Project", about which my boss has no clue. After many, many calls I asked if he could give me a little more information, since my boss doesn't know him or what the Baxter Project is. His reply was that it wasn't for me to ask and to just put him through. When I told my boss this, he laughed and said what an idiot this guy was since ticking-off the gatekeeper wasn't the best way to get me to cooperate.
