I have gotten several calls from this number. I do not answer calls from numbers not in my contact list.
At first there were voicemails left stating they are a collection agency. Because I am not in arrears on anything, I ignored the calls. I finally answered one time and the woman started to yell at me. I hung up.
Now they have managed to find my boss' work number. She calls. My boss says that I am not at that number. She hangs up on my boss.
This number shows up on my boss' work phone simply as "ACB".
Today I tried again to return the call simply to get some information and it went to a voicemail that stated "I am not here. Leave your name, number and account number".
I have been getting calls from this number for months. I have a crazy schedule so I barely ever have the opportunity to actually answer the phone when they call. Sometimes a voicemail is left with very vague information. Today I decided to call them back after they called my mother. How they got her number I'm not sure. Anyway I called them back asked what the debt was for, whom she was and why I don't get statements in the mail. She gave some excuse as to why I don't receive statements and then I replied well I am not giving out payment/financial information over the phone so I need a payment statement. She then hung up on me! Okay yeah we are trying to resolved and collect a debt but you hang up on me? I've never known a legitemate collection agency to hangup on me, actually I usually do the hanging up.
